Elaboration of a self-compacting concrete with drawn steel fiber
Blog Article
Currently seeking to improve the characteristics of concrete, here the use of drawn steel fibers in a self-compacting concrete can increase resistance and reduce cracks, with a high level of fluidity for installation. The objective of this research is to evaluate the properties of self-compacting concrete by adding drawn steel fibers.Concrete samples were made by adding 1%, 1.5%, 2%, 2.5% fiber CHO 80/60 and 65/35 NB, with concrete specimens to be tested at 7, 14 and 28 days of curing, to Analyze the physical and mechanical properties.
The results showed bostik roll-cote that they increased the compressive strength by 4.94%, traction by 8.15% and bending by 6.64% with the addition of 1.5% of the two fibers.
It is concluded that adding drawn steel fiber contributes to the mechanical properties and can be a great alternative for high-strength concrete.
